Tyler Rands is the founding attorney of RandsLaw and is licensed to practice before the State and Federal courts of Idaho. He began his legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Darrel R. Perry and later the Honorable John M. Melanson on the Idaho Court of Appeals. He then spent several years as an associate for a local law firm in Twin Falls, Idaho before branching out and forming his own business. He has since grown that brand into a well-respected name in the Magic Valley Community.Mr. Rands has represented clients at all levels of the Idaho judicial system and in a wide variety of subject matters. He has represented clients in misdemeanor and felony criminal matters as well as post-conviction relief. He has represented parents and children in numerous CPS cases. He has been appointed as a guardian ad litem and attorney for protected persons in guardianship matters. He has extensive experience in divorce, custody and child support disputes, guardianships/conservatorships, adoption, probate, landlord/tenant matters, personal injury, and contract and property disputes. Outside of the courtroom, Mr. Rands also represents a number of clients with business formations, contract and transactional matters, including loans, asset purchases and secured transactions, as well as with estate planning needs.Mr. Rands graduated Magna Cum Laude from Michigan State University College of Law, where he served as a Senior Managing Editor of the Law Review. He also received a B.S. in Microbiology from Brigham Young University after returning from a two-year LDS mission in Northeastern Brazil.Mr. Rands is married with six children. When not spending time with them and their extensive activities and schedules, he enjoys pursuing music and theater productions. He sang bass in a champion barbershop quartet. He has performed the Star Spangled Banner with the Twin Falls Municipal Band and the last two Twin Falls County Republicans Lincoln Day Dinner. He has participated in numerous local musical theater productions in the Magic Valley, including Into the Woods, The Music Man, and The Little Mermaid through the Orpheum Theater.
